What we find here?

MakkireQu – recycling objects of utility. Designing and realisation done by Magdalena Godawa. Characteristic products made from newspapers are the connection of traditional handicraft weaving, recycling of waste paper and everyday people’s needs.

How it is done?

The waste paper used by me is coming from leaflets, daily newspapers, magazines and tv guides. Prepared products are being covered by acrylic varnish and sometimes will be painted. As regards the bigger projects, such as chairs or chests the construction is based on wooden framesCovering them in 2 or 3 layers of acrylic varnish to make the products solid. They will also be water and snow resist (hand bags and jewellery). My baskets, chairs and cradles have been used for many years by my friends and customers. I haven’t received any information yet that any of them have had an allergic reaction to any of my products.Because I love what I am doing, every item is made down to the last detail and done very carefully.
